6th Annual Partnership Retreat discusses enhanced transparency framework

7th Regional Workshop of the Cluster Francophone in cooperation with FAO and IFDD, 28-30 August 2017, Rome/Italy
The Francophone Cluster of the Transparency Partnership organized in cooperation with FAO and the Francophone Institute for Sustainable Development (IFDD) a regional workshop in Rome on 28-30 August 2017. 57 participants from 22 francophone developing countries and 13 experts and representatives from the 7 organizers, international organizations and consultants focused on issues around the subject of “greenhouse-gas inventories in the energy and AFOLU sectors as a condition for the up-date and monitoring of NDCs”.
First Workshop of the Cluster Lusophone in Lisbon
On 19-21 June, the Cluster Lusophone of the Partnership on Transparency in the Paris Agreement hosted a workshop on Monitoring, Reporting and Verification (MRV) and transparency frameworks in Lisbon, Portugal. The workshop was organized by the UNDP/UNEP Global Support Program (GSP), the Governments of Brazil, Belgium and Germany with the additional support of the Community of Portuguese Language Countries (CPLP) and the Portuguese Government.
Tunisia makes progress towards NDC implementation in the building sector
Transport accounts for 23% of Vietnam’s total energy-based emissions and is highlighted as a focus area in the country’s Intended Nationally Determined Contribution (INDC). As successful implementation of transport climate strategies rests upon the availability of comprehensive data and the application of sound assessment methods for emission reduction potentials, the Vietnamese Ministry of Transport is currently working on developing these.
