The Cluster Francophone began operating in 2013 when it held its first regional workshop in Tunis, Tunisia. The group currently comprises around 27 francophone developing and developed countries, mainly in Africa. Activities focus on sharing best practices, knowledge management, peer learning and capacity development. The group is open to all countries with an interest in learning about the topics of the Partnership on a peer-to-peer basis. The working language of this regional group is French. Within the Cluster Francophone we collaborate very closely with organisations such as the UNDP "climate promise program", CBIT-GSP, FAO, ICAT, and countries, such as Belgium, France (citepa) and Switzerland.
