O principal objetivo do seminário é reforçar a capacidade dos países lusófonos no cumprimento eficiente dos Modalidades, Procedimentos e Diretrizes (MPGs) em relação aos requisitos de transparência das Contribuições Nacionalmente Determinadas (NDCs), garantindo que o vínculo entre o processo de revisão das NDCs e a elaboração do Relatório Bienal de Transparência (BTR) seja devidamente estabelecido.
O workshop é coorganizado pelo Governo Federal da República Federativa do Brasil, pelo PNUD – Promessa Climática, pela Parceria para Transparência no Acordo de Paris (PATPA) e pelo Programa de Apoio Global da Iniciativa para a Construção de Capacidade para a Transparência (CBIT-GSP).
8th Workshop of the Lusophone Cluster on “The importance of transparent and monitorable NDCs to attract climate investment” [Brasilia, Brasil]
The eighth workshop of the Lusophone Cluster on the importance of transparent and monitorable Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs) to attract climate investment will take place in Brasilia, Brazil, from April 8 to 11, 2025.
The main objective of the seminar is to strengthen the capacity of Portuguese-speaking countries to efficiently comply with the Modalities, Procedures and Guidelines (MPGs) in relation to the transparency requirements of the NDCs, ensuring that the link between the NDC review process and the preparation of the Biennial Transparency Report (BTR) is properly established.
The workshop is co-organized by the Federal Government of the Federative Republic of Brazil, UNDP - Climate Promise, the Partnership for Transparency in the Paris Agreement (PATPA) and the Capacity Building Initiative for Transparency Global Support Programme (CBIT-GSP).
