Atelier de formation du réseau francophone sur les projections des émissions de GES, le suivi des CDN et la finance climatique en rapport avec les RBT

En 2025 l’atelier de formation du réseau francophone aura lieu à Saly au Sénégal du 8 au 11 Avril. Les 4 jours de formation sur les projections des émissions de GES et le suivi des CDN, réunira environ 40 experts nationaux en transparence climatique des pays francophones. L’objectif de l’atelier est de renforcer les capacités techniques pour les outils de modélisation (GACMO) et planification à long terme (LEAP) ainsi que les méthodologies de suivi et de rapportage des CDN. Pendant l’atelier, les experts auront l’opportunité d’échanger sur l'importance de préparer des CDN bancables et le rôle des efforts de transparence aux yeux des des fonds internationaux et des banques de développement grâce en outre à l’intervention de la Banque Africaine de Développement (BAD)
L’atelier est organisé conjointement avec le PNUD (Projet « From Pledge to Impact »), dans le cadre du soutien par le gouvernement Belge, le Partenariat sur la Transparence dans l’Accord de Paris (PATPA), avec un financement de l’Allemagne, le programme « Capacity Building Initiative for Transparency – the Global Support Programme (CBIT-GSP) », avec un financement du GEF et exécuté par le PNUE- Centre du Climat de Copenhague (UNEP-CCC) et avec un financement de la Banque Africaine de Développement (BAD ou AFDB en anglais). L’atelier compte également avec le soutien des experts de CITEPA, du GCE (Groupe consultatif d'experts) de la CCNUCC et le centre régional de collaboration de l’Afrique de l’Ouest et Centrale de la CCNUCC (UNFCCC – WACA).
Workshop of the Francophone Cluster on GHG emission projections, NDC tracking and climate finance in relation to BTR
This year’s workshop of the Francophone Cluster on GHG emission projections, NDC tracking and reporting through the BTRs will take place in Saly, Senegal from April 8 to 11, 2025. The 4-day training course on GHG emission projections and NDC monitoring will bring together around 40 national experts in climate transparency from French-speaking countries. The aim of the workshop is to build technical capacity in modelling tools (GACMO) and long-term planning (LEAP), as well as NDC monitoring and reporting methodologies. During the workshop, experts will have the opportunity to discuss the importance of preparing bankable NDCs and the role of transparency efforts in the eyes of international funds and development banks, thanks also to the intervention of the African Development Bank (AfDB).
The workshop is organised jointly with the UNDP (‘From Pledge to Impact’ project), with the financial support from the Belgian government, the Partnership on Transparency in the Paris Agreement (PATPA), with funding from Germany, the Capacity Building Initiative for Transparency - the Global Support Programme (CBIT-GSP), funded by the GEF and implemented by the UNEP-Copenhagen Climate Centre (UNEP-CCC) and funding from the African Development Bank (AfDB). The workshop is also supported by experts from CITEPA, the CGE (Consultative Group of Experts of the UNFCCC and by the UNFCCC Regional Collaborating Centre for West and Central Africa (UNFCCC - WACA).
