Realizou-se no passado dia 12 de fevereiro o webinar organizado pelo Núcleo Lusófono dedicado ao tema: Preparar NDCs fáceis de monitorizar.
No webinar participaram cerca de 90 pessoas de todos os países da lusofonia.
O principal objetivo deste seminário online foi conscientizar os países sobre a importância de preparar e se comprometer com uma NDC que seja transparente e monitorizável, considerando que não há disposições de flexibilidade para o capítulo de rastreamento de NDC do BTR e observando que uma NDC pode ser atualizada a qualquer momento.
Uma das principais conclusões foi a de que cada país deverá elaborar e submeter uma NDC cuja implementação tenha capacidade de monitorizar, devendo, em virtude de atualmente tal capacidade ser ainda incipiente, o país optar por tipos de NDC mais fáceis de monitorizar (por exemplo, as baseadas em medidas) e por elaborar documentos de NDC curtos e simples (sem prejuízo de toda a informação de base ser devidamente arquivada e acessível ao público).

The webinar organised by the Cluster Lusophone was held on 12 February on the topic: Preparing NDCs that are easy to monitor.
Around 90 people from all the Lusophone countries took part in the webinar.
The main objective of this webinar was to raise awareness among countries about the importance of preparing and committing to a NDC that is transparent and monitorable, considering that there are no flexibility provisions for the NDC tracking chapter of the BTR and noting that an NDC can be updated at any time.
One of the main conclusions was that each country should develop and submit an NDC whose implementation can be monitored. Given that monitoring capacity is still limited, the country should opt for types of NDCs that are easier to monitor (e.g., those based on measures) and should prepare short and simple NDC documents (without prejudice to ensuring that all underlying information is properly archived and publicly accessible).
