Le Cluster francophone du Partenariat International sur l’Atténuation et le MRV a été créé suite à l’atelier francophone pour l'Afrique sur les enjeux de Mesure, Rapportage et Vérification (MRV) des NAMA, tenu à Gammarth, Tunisie, les 17 et 18 décembre 2013.

The first Global Workshop on Intended Nationally Determined Contributions (INDCs) was held in Berlin from 14-17 April 2015. About 80 government representatives from more than 50 countries came together to exchange their experiences in preparing their INDCs.

On 4-5 November 2014, the Philippine Climate Change Commission (CCC) hosted a two-day regional technical workshop in Manila on integrating non-GHG indicators into a national Monitoring, Reporting and Verification (MRV) system.

The workshop of the Cluster Francophone focused on NAMAS, GHG Inventories and INDCs was conducted on October 30- 1 November in Brussels, Belgium. It provided the sharing of experiences, best case practices as well as giving the right tools and knowledge for each country’s mitigation efforts.

The Environmental Protection Agency of Ghana, together with the International Partnership on Mitigation and MRV, hosted the second African Regional Workshop "Peer-to-peer exchange on BURs”. It is took place on October 15-17, Berlin, Germany.

From 3 to 10 September 2014, a total 28 policymakers and negotiators from 20 developed and developing countries and the EU met in Punta Cana, the Dominican Republic, for the third Summer School of the International Partnership on Mitigation and MRV. They discussed the preparation and implementation of Intended Nationally Determined Contributions (INDCs).

The Department of Environmental Affairs of the Republic of Korea, together with the International Partnership on Mitigation and MRV, hosted a Regional Workshop on "Tracking Mitigation Actions in Asia" in Seoul, Republic of Korea.

In order to support Uganda’s process towards the implementation of a robust MRV System, UNDP, in partnership with the International Partnership on Mitigation and MRV, brought together government and civil society representatives, in a three-day workshop held in Entebbe on 18th till the 20th of June 2014.

More than 100 stakeholders from 10 countries came together from 6-8 March in Mexico City to exchange good practice cases and enhance capacities for the development of systems for the measurement, reporting and verification (MRV) of nationally appropriate mitigation actions (NAMAs) in Latin America and the Caribbean.

The Department of Environmental Affairs (DEA) of the Republic of South Africa invited a selection of countries to this regional workshop in order to present on-going mitigation actions and provide an up-to-date self-assessment of GHG inventories in different African countries and identify existing information and support needs to respond to the enhanced reporting requirements of the UNFCCC.

The first Autumn School of the International Partnership on Mitigation and MRV took place from October 15 to 23 in Berlin. The objective of the Autumn School was to enable participants to support a national process of institutionalizing MRV systems in their countries and act as multipliers who know the main elements and requirements of MRV systems.

The second technical workshop, held on behalf of the Partnership and hosted by Chile’s environment ministry (Ministerio del Medio Ambiente - MMA), has taken place in Santiago de Chile from 24 to 26 July 2012. Its objective was the identification of methodologies for MRV in the energy sector.
