Regional Workshop: Tracking Mitigation Actions in Africa
The Department of Environmental Affairs (DEA) of the Republic of South Africa invited a selection of countries to this regional workshop in order to present on-going mitigation actions and provide an up-to-date self-assessment of GHG inventories in different African countries and identify existing information and support needs to respond to the enhanced reporting requirements of the UNFCCC.
Autumn School, Berlin 2012: "MRV - today, tomorrow and the future"
The first Autumn School of the International Partnership on Mitigation and MRV took place from October 15 to 23 in Berlin. The objective of the Autumn School was to enable participants to support a national process of institutionalizing MRV systems in their countries and act as multipliers who know the main elements and requirements of MRV systems.
Technical workshop “Bottom-up approach to the MRV of policies, measures and actions in the Chilean energy sector”
The second technical workshop, held on behalf of the Partnership and hosted by Chile’s environment ministry (Ministerio del Medio Ambiente - MMA), has taken place in Santiago de Chile from 24 to 26 July 2012. Its objective was the identification of methodologies for MRV in the energy sector.
