O Núcleo Lusófono tem a inestimável satisfação de anunciar seu 5º Seminário Presencial, que será realizado do dia 27 a 30 de março de 2023 na capital de São Tomé e Príncipe, São Tomé. 

O objetivo precípuo do seminário é capacitar os países-membros do Núcleo acerca de sistemas de Mensuração, Relato e Verificação (MRV) e Transparência, principalmente no tocante ao apoio e financiamento necessário e recebido. Em termos de objetivos específicos, pretende-se:

• Analisar as lacunas e melhores práticas para monitorar e informar sobre o apoio necessário e recebido dos países lusófonos;
• Formar tecnicamente lideranças nas instituições nacionais dos Países Lusófonos para que sejam capazes de identificar as oportunidades, desafios, riscos e benefícios na implementação do Livro de Regras do Acordo de Paris associados à temática do apoio necessário e recebido;
• Revisar e aprovar o Plano de Trabalho tentativo para as atividades prioritárias do Núcleo Lusófono para o biênio 2023-2024;
• Identificar e propor parceiros que possam financiar as ações contidas no Plano de Trabalho;
• Pilotar o processo de exame e certificação de especialistas lusófonos para apoiar as atividades de simulação de revisão por Pares e “ICA (International Consultation and Analysis) Lusófono” sobre o tema de apoio necessário e recebido.

O seminário conta com o suporte e coparticipação financeira do Governo da Bélgica por meio da Iniciativa Promessa Climática do PNUD, do Programa de Apoio Global CBIT (CBIT-GSP), da Parceria para Transparência no Acordo de Paris (PATPA) e do Programa das Nações Unidas para o Desenvolvimento (PNUD).

The Lusophone Cluster is pleased to announce its 5th In-person Workshop, which will be held on March 27-30, 2023, in the capital of São Tomé and Príncipe, São Tomé. 
 
The core objective of the event is to build the capacity of countries' representatives on Measurement, Reporting and Verification (MRV) and Transparency systems, especially with regard to the support and funding needed and received. In terms of specific objectives, the workshop aims to: 

• Analyze the gaps and best practices to monitor and report on the support needed and received from Lusophone countries; 
• Provide technical training to the leaderships in the institutions of the Lusophone countries, enabling them to identify the opportunities, challenges, risks and benefits in the implementation of the Paris Agreement Rule Book associated with the thematic of support needed and received; 
• Review and approve the tentative Work Plan for the priority activities of the Lusophone Cluster for the biennium 2023-2024; 
• Identify and propose partners that can finance the actions contained in the Work Plan;
• Pilot the process of examination and certification of Lusophone experts to support the Peer Review simulation activities and "Lusophone International Consultation and Analysis (ICA)" on the subject of support needed and received.  

The workshop is supported and co-funded by the Government of Belgium through the UNDP Climate Promise Initiative, the CBIT Global Support Programme (CBIT-GSP), the Partnership for Transparency in the Paris Agreement (PATPA), and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP).
