FAO introduces its new self-paced online course "Forest and land monitoring for climate action - SEPAL"
Are you interested in digital platforms and tools for an improved forest and land monitoring? The FAO presents its new self-paced online course, which aims to enhance knowledge and skills in utilising high-resolution satellite imagery for critical forest and land monitoring.
Developed and designed by the FAO through the funding of Norway’s International Climate and Forests Initiative (NICFI) and the United Kingdom’s Department for Energy Security and Net Zero, the course aims to teach its users how the System for Earth Observation Data Access, Processing and Analysis for Land Monitoring (SEPAL) can help land and forest monitoring for effective climate action.
The course is based on a first edition which was delivered between the 24th of March and the 7th of May 2023, and has been adapted into a self-paced format, allowing learners to engage with the course content and resources in a flexible manner, ensuring a comprehensive learning experience.
