Good Practice: Ireland's GHGI – efficiency development

Ireland operates its national greenhouse gas (GHG) inventory system compliant with the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) requirements with a small team of four staff members. This comprises two internal staff members at the Environmental Protection Agency, supported by external resources equalling roughly two full time positions. Fulfilling all requirements on this basis is possible thanks to efficient data collection, compilation and management processes.
