PATPA Knowledge Products Launch Event: Guide to projections of GHG Emissions and Removals
Understanding future GHG emissions can help a country to define a GHG reduction target, see if they are on track to meeting an existing target, estimate the impacts of certain mitigation measures and help plan mitigation measures in the medium and long-term. To support countries in developing their own GHG projections, PATPA has published a comprehensive Introductory Guide for Practitioners on Projections of Greenhouse Gas Emissions and Removals.
To raise awareness of the Guide and its benefits, as well as showing its real-life applicability to interested parties, PATPA is hosting a virtual launch event as part of the PATPA Knowledge Products Series #ClimateTransparencyMatters. Participants will obtain an overview of the Guide and step-by-step insight into its use, underlined with country examples.
Intended as a global launch event and in order to accommodate various time zones, two events will be held on the following days:
- Wednesday, Aug. 25th, 10:00 - 11:00 CEST and
- Thursday, Aug. 26th, 17:00 - 18:00 CEST
