The PATPA Asia Regional Workshop will take place from the 24th to the 26th of September 2024 in Seoul, Republic of Korea. The workshop will focus on the finalisation of country’s first Biennial Transparency Report (BTR) by offering a space to exchange and address country requested issues through “troubleshooting sessions”. The UNFCCC will attend the workshop to provide participants with guidance and technical support on the Enhanced Transparency Framework (ETF) reporting tool. In the practical sessions, remaining challenges and best practices on the last mile of compiling the first BTR, which is due by 31 December 2024, will be addressed and discussed in a confidential setting. Representatives from 23 countries, including this year's COP presidency, Azerbaijan, will attend the workshop.
PATPA is delighted to announce that the workshop will engage youth, emphasizing the importance of empowering younger generations in climate action and transparency. We are very grateful that the Government of the Republic of Korea will host the workshop in Seoul and that Australia and the UNFCCC are financial supporting this workshop.
