Regional Dialogue on Nationally Determined Contributions - Latin America & the Caribbean
The IPMM’s Latin America and Caribbean regional group this year joined forces with the UNFCCC Secretariat, UNDP and the Partnership for Market Readiness (PMR) to organise a Regional Dialogue on NDCs in San José, Costa Rica. From 19-21 July 2016, more than 90 representatives from 26 countries, international organisations and banks involved in NDC implementation in the region convened to discuss the NDC-related provisions of the Paris Agreement and the next steps for NDC implementation. The dialogue facilitated an exchange of experience among the countries on cross-cutting issues such as institutional arrangements with sectoral ministries and non-state actors, transparency and accounting, financial strategies, and long-term development planning
