Cross-Regional Technical Workshop of the Lusophone and Francophone Cluster
NDC Tracking for mitigation, adaptation and means of implementation, 17-20 October 2023, Istanbul, Türkiye
The first Franco-Lusophone Regional Workshop on NDC Tracking for mitigation, adaptation and means of implementation, took place in Istanbul, Türkiye from the 17th to the 20th of October 2023.
The workshop was jointly organized by the UNDP Climate Promise, and the Partnership on Transparency in the Paris Agreement (PATPA) with technical support by citepa.
The principal aim was to promote the best practices of implementation of the decisions linked to the Paris Agreement Rulebook, in particular those adopted on NDC tracking and all critical aspects related to mitigation, adaptation and means of implementation.
55 experts, among them 24 women, from 28 countries took part.
9 Portuguese-speaking countries as well as 20 French-speaking countries from the African continent, and Haiti, were invited.
The workshop was held in English for the joint sessions, and in Portuguese or French for the separate sessions.
